Finger painting is a pleasurable, messy and creative art activity. This activity, which involves much more than merely spreading paint with the fingers, should more accurately be called hand painting. Finger/hand painting encourages children to make direct contact with the medium, there is no brush to separate the artist from paint. Children enjoy the cool, slimy texture!
